Easy Chocolate Basket

With Christmas quickly approaching, it is time for me to start thinking about what I am going to make for the Christmas table this year.

Yesterday I was out and saw this cute chocolate basket and I knew that I just had to make them for the Christmas table. I used Stampin Up’s ‘This Christmas’ Designer Series Paper to make the one pictured below.

When I got home I hopped onto Pinterest to see how they were made. I was surprised at how quick and easy they are to whip up – perfect when you have a few to do!

To make these Easy Chocolate Baskets you can either watch my you tube video….

Or follow the directions below!

I hope you enjoy making them as much as I did.

  1. Cut a piece of cardstock at 9″ square.
  2. Cut 8 pieces of DSP at 2 3/4″ square. Fold 4 of these squares in half to make a triangle. Cut with your scissors.
  3. Score the cardstock at 3″ and 6″ on both sides. Use a ruler to score the four corner pieces, on the diagonal, from the corner edge to the score line.
  4. Fold and burnish all of your score lines.
  5. Adhere the DSP to the front of the box.
  6. On the four diagonal score lines punch a hole using a hole punch.
  7. Thread ribbon in and out of the four punched holes. Tie the ribbon to close the box.

Hint: You can make the box larger or smaller. Ensure that your cardstock is a square and can be evenly divided into 3. Score your cardstock into thirds.
To adjust the DSP measurement – measure one of your squares and reduce the DSP by 1/4″.
